Telephone Directory Database Access Service
The Telephone Directory Database Access Service has been developed by OTE and includes all subscribers of all Telcos of landline and mobile telephony services, provided that they have not objected to being included.
The Telephone Directory Database Access Service is addressed to Telcos of landline and mobile telephony, as well as to any other company that has a general license (Β0206) for providing telephone directory Services .
This is an application that enables eligible Telcos to access the Telephone Directory base, perform structured searches, and retrieve subscriber information.
Benefits
Through the easy-to-use and functional environment of the Service in question, one can have:
- On-line access to the Telephone Directory Database information to search for and obtain the details of landline and mobile subscribers.
- Access on a 24-hour basis, 365 days per year
- Help desk service for user support if problems arise.(24x7x365).
- Provision of a Service Level Agreement (SLA).
The annual Access OTE Subscribers Data Fee (CD)
The service concerns the access to OTE’s subscribers database and the updating of subscribers changes.
Benefits
- The Subscriber Data Service enables the telco to build its own directory information base.
- Access on a 24-hour basis, 365 days per year.
- The process of updating changes to the OTE subscriber base is carried out using an electronic file, which is transmitted by OTE to the telco provider through an appropriate network infrastructure that ensures the protection of the data exchanged using appropriate protocols and encryption techniques, as well as authorized access to the relevant servers. Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) is used for this purpose.

- You are initially required to obtain a permit form NRA regarding the provision of Phone Directory Services.
- Subsequently you sign an OTE Subscriber License Agreement and you receive an optical disc (CD/DVD) with the OTE Subscriber Database, which is provided in an editable format. NB: Mobile phone numbers as well other landline networks are not included.
- Finally, a VPN will be formed, that will connect OTE with the telco’s main server, to which all of OTE’s subscribers’ changes will be sent. For the aforementioned process SFTP will be used.
You initially have to request the permission from NRA for the provision of Phone Directory Services.
Subsequently you sign the Telephone Directory Database Access contract, and your company is provided with a Leased Line which gives you access to the Telephone Directory database.
Finally, a suitable application is installed in your company in order to obtain Access to the Database of the Telephone Directory.
